Istanbul hit by a barrage of huge hail stones
July 28 , 2017
Istanbul has been hit by a massive summer storm with hail stones that are as big as golf balls. This has already led to three people being injured. It has been accompanied by strong winds and heavy rain as well. A stone wall and several trees have been knocked down and streets have been flooded in this Turkish city as well. The stone wall in question is built around a cemetery for members of the local Christian Armenian people. Residents have been assisting rescue crews to move away the stones.
