ISRO Launches Record 104 Satellites in One Go

  • Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) made history by successfully launching 104 satellites, which included India's earth observation satellite, in a single mission from the spaceport in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. This happened to be the highest number of satellites launched at a single go. However, of the 104 satellites, 101 belong to foreign countries, most of them to the United States.

ISRO chairman AS Kiran Kumar and other top scientists watched the launch closely.

In June 2015, 23 satellites at one go were launched by ISRO.

In 2014, Russia made a record of launching 37 satellites in a single mission.
