Israel, Palestinians agree to open-ended ceasefire

It has been reported that the conflict in Gaza seemed to have ended after both the Israeli and the Palestinian sides agreed to an indefinite halt to fighting.
In seven weeks of fighting, over 2,100 people have been killed in Gaza, a majority of them civilians. At least 500 children are among the dead. On the Israeli side, 64 troops and six civilians died in the war.
With the ceasefire coming into effect, there were celebrations in Gaza, with Hamas announcing a victory.
