Israel: Controversial Law Passed on West Bank Settlement
February 7 , 2017
A controversial law has been passed by the Israel parliament in which about 4,000 homes built on settlements in the occupied West Bank will be retroactively legalized. According to the law, a compensation with money or any alternative land will be given to the original Palestinian landowners.
Encouraged by the new US administration, a series of pro-settlement moves in the recent weeks has been undertaken by the country. This also includes approval of thousands of homes.
