ISIS Carries out Bomb Attacks in Indonesia, Killing at Least 2 and Injuring 13

  • Bomb attacks in Surabaya’s (Indonesia’s second largest city) churches reportedly kill at least 2 persons and injured 13 persons. A spokesman for East Java police, Frans Barung Mangera, confirmed that bomb attacks were carried out at 3 churches. Terrorist organization, ISIS, has claimed responsibility of the reported attacks in the predominantly Muslim country. Police also said that the bomb explosion started at 7.30am (0030 GMT) and each of the blasts took place within 10 minutes in the 3 churches.  Reports say one person died on spot and another in a hospital. 13 others are currently treated at the hospital.
