Iraqi troops advance into ISIS-controlled Ramadi

  • Iraqi armed forces have advanced into the center of Ramadi, which is situated 55 miles west of Baghdad. The city is under the control of the ISIS. Media reports quoted Sabah al-Numani, a spokesman for the Counter-Terrorism Service, as saying that the militiamen and troops were clearing residential areas. The troops are being supported by the air force. The spokesman further said that the troops were advancing towards the main government complex.
