Iran's Foreign Minister to Visit North Korea Soon

  • Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has told media that he is planning to visit North Korea. Though no specific date has been given regarding the trip, Iran’s state television has reported that the final date of the planned trip will be set as well as announced soon. Iranian foreign minister’s intention of visiting North Korea comes just after North Korea’s leader Kim Jong met Russian President Vladimir Putin recently and accused the US of acting in bad faith at Vietnam’s Hanoi summit. Reports say Ri Yong Ho (top diplomat of North Korea) visited Iran back in August, at a time when the USA reintroduced sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
