Iran says the US President Trump is misled by his Advisors into Thinking that they can Change Iranian Regime through Maximum Pressure

  • Foreign Minister of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has said at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday that the US President Donald Trump is receiving poor advice. Zarif went on to say that the US President has mistakenly started to believe that maximum pressure on Iran will lead to the collapse of the government in the country. Mohammad Javad Zarif made it clear that the US “President Trump has been convinced that we are about to collapse so he doesn’t want to talk to a collapsing regime”. Zarif has also said that it was a miscalculation on part of the US to kill the Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani on January 3, 2020. Instead of increasing pressure on the Iranian government, the US action has galvanized support for Iran.  On the 40th day of the killing of elite Revolutionary Guards’ top commander Qassem Soleimani, Major General Hossein Salami has warned both the US and Israel that Iran will hit both if they “make the slightest error”.
