Iran Presents Its Own First Fighter Jet

  • Iran on Tuesday lifted covers from its fighter jet which is domestically manufactured. This is a first for the middle-eastern country. Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian President, was seen sitting in its cockpit as the first images and videos are circulated by the local media. Named Kowsar, the jet has its test flights on Tuesday, the eve of Defense Industry's National Day. As per the state media, the jet is suitable for short aerial support missions.

    Delivering a speech on the occasion, Rouhani demanded the readiness from the Iranian military to face the enemy threats.
