Iran nuclear issue: Netanyahu's differences with US deepen
February 26 , 2015
The row between the Obama administration and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has worsened.
While the Israeli leader has accused the US and other countries of “giving up” on attempts to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, the US has pointedly disputed Netanyahu’s views on the issue.
The decision by Netanyahu to address the US Congress on an invitation by Republican leaders has further angered Democrats.
Susan Rice, the US national security adviser, described the Israeli leader's visit as “destructive to the fabric” of the US-Israel relationship.
