Mohsen Amir-Aslani, a 37-year-old Iranian man, who was found guilty of heresy, has been executed.
Amir-Aslani used to hold sessions in his house to recite the Qur’an and interpret the holy book before his arrest nine years ago, reports quoting human rights groups said.
However, Iran's judiciary has claimed that he had illicit relationships with people who took part in his sessions and his activities did not follow the religion’s official interpretation.
