Indonesia: People Await Aid after the Deadly Shakes

  • There have been thousands on Lombok, an island in Indonesia, who are waiting for the aid to come. A large number of homes got destroyed after the 6.9-magnitude deadly earthquake shook the island. According to the local sources, the death toll is recorded to be 347 and is expected to rise after all the bodies get counted. Aid has begun to reach the island's northern parts, which were one of the worst-hit parts. Many people – young and adults – are surviving on chili sauce and crackers.
