Indonesia issues execution orders for two Australian men, Filipino woman
April 26 , 2015
The Indonesian government has issued formal execution orders for three of the ten people on death row for drug smuggling.
Australian nationals Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran and Mary Jane Veloso, a woman from the Philippines, have been notified by officials.
Convicts facing execution have to be given a 72-hour notice, according to Indonesian law.
Indonesia has so far rejected all appeals for clemency. Chan and Sukumaran were the head of the so-called Bali Nine group which attempted to smuggle drugs. They were arrested in 2005.
