Four Indian naval warships entered the South China Sea for an operational deployment for two and half months much to the ire of China. The Indian naval ships, indigenously built guided missile stealth frigates are named Satpura and Sahyadri. INS Shakti, a sophisticated fleet support ship and INS Kirch, a guided missile corvette, have also been deployed in the disputed waters which China claims to have territorial ownership on.
