Hurricane Irma pummels Turk and Caicos Islands, as Florida braces for Irma's wrath

Devastation due to Hurricane Irma does not seem to stop as the strongest Atlantic Hurricane ever recorded has pummeled the Turks and Caicos Islands. Irma which is near the Turks and Caicos Islands is likely to move towards the Bahamas. The National Hurricane Centre (NHC) warned of 8-12 inches of rain along with the risk of rip tides and surge-related flooding throughout Friday. On Thursday, the strongest storm killed at least 10 people as it smashed the Caribbean Islands. Superstorm Irma is likely to reach Cuba next week before hitting the US State of Florida. Forecasters warn that the storm could hit South Florida as a Category 4 Hurricane by Sunday. On Thursday, the National Hurricane Center issued a hurricane watch for the southernmost part of Florida. As per Rick Scott, the Governor of Florida, mandatory evacuations have been issued for many countries in South Florida. People in South Florida have been boarding up homes, filling cars with gallons and finding routes to safety.
