Hurricane Irma: Devastated areas would take years to rebuild
September 11 , 2017
Hurricane Irma has departed from the Caribbean but has left behind a trail of death and destruction. People from Cuba to Antigua, places which were badly impacted by Irma, have started to rebuild their lives. However, it has been estimated that it would take years for the Caribbean, which is heavily dependent on the tourism industry, to return back to normal. The hurricane claimed 28 lives in the region. Houses were destroyed and the power supplies and communications were ripped apart, disconnecting the islands in the region from the rest of the world.
