August 28 , 2017
On Friday night, Tropical Storm Harvey made a landfall as Category 4 hurricane causing devastation in southeastern Texas. As per the reports of the National Weather Service (NWS), five people have lost their lives in the most powerful hurricane to hit the US in 13 years. In the light of this life threatening flood, Houston has turned its main convention center into a shelter. The National Weather Service issued flash flood warning saying, “catastrophic flooding in Houston metropolitan area is expected to worsen and could become historic.” Life threatening flooding due to Harvey has overburdened the resources. Prices of US gasoline skyrocketed due to hurricane Harvey, as refineries across the US Gulf Coast were flooded. Amidst unprecedented flooding, the US President is likely to visit Texas on Tuesday.
