HRW Report Suggests China Campaigning against Muslims

According to an HRW (Human Rights Watch) report, the government of China is holding a campaign against the residing Muslims, on the ground of human rights violations. The report has come in the light of a report from UN which had raised the issue of Muslims being detained without having any charge against them and only in the context of religious extremism and countering terrorism.Hua Chunying, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman, has denied the allegations, stating that the UN body is dispensing out irresponsible and unsubstantiated information. The China government, however, is yet to comment on the report of HRW.
