Hot zone in Fukushima is ready for residents
April 1 , 2014
Over 300 Japanese citizens who were exiled from home three years ago are now getting the green light to return if they dare to.
Residents of an area in Tamura were asked to leave after the Fukushima nuclear disaster and Reuters notes that the homes were 12 miles from the plant.
A former resident said the town will be in a bad shape since young people will refuse to come back in fears of being guinea pigs for the government. About 30 percent of the population was forced to displace and people are still residing in temporary housing.
