'Horrific acts' by ISIS will not intimidate Americans, says Obama

  • US president Barack Obama has said America would not be intimidated by the “horrific acts” of ISIS, and the beheading of American citizens would “only unite us and stiffen our resolve” to fight the militant group, as per media reports.

Obama, who will be participating in a two-day Nato summit in Wales, said those who harmed Americans would learn that “our reach is long and that justice will be served.”

Meanwhile, Britain admitted that an unsuccessful attempt had earlier been made to free David Haines, the British hostage being held by ISIS.
