Hong Kongers Breaks Out on the Streets for Extradition Law
June 11 , 2019
Quite visibly, millions of people gathered on the streets of Hong Kong on Sunday to show their protest against a new law which could adversely affect the citizens of Hong Kong. Henceforth, they can be deported to Mainland China on the basis of any reported offenses. This protest escalated due to the fear that the laws of the city would be subject to a China-style rule of law, lacking transparency. Moreover, critics who're pondering on the protest suggest that this would make things even more complicated, as anyone could be grabbed by the Chinese authorities for political reasons.
