Hong Kong protests: Police use pepper spray
October 16 , 2014
Police in Hong Kong used pepper spray to stop protesters from blocking a key road on Thursday, October 16, media reports say.
Meanwhile, a video of policemen beating Ken Tsang Kin-chiu, a pro-democracy activist, has gone viral and hundreds of people gathered to condemn the incident. Authorities have said that those involved in the beating would be suspended.
Though the number of protesters has sharply fallen in the last 10 days, a committed group of students has continued camping on the streets.
