Hong Kong protests: Police dismantle barricades, clear road for traffic
October 14 , 2014
Police in Hong Kong have removed barricades put up by pro-democracy protesters along the main protest site in the city.
No resistance was offered as the police put the barricades onto vehicles. The road is now opened to traffic, reports said.
Scuffles had broken out on Monday, October 13, as an anti-protest group attempted to pull down the barricades.
The pro-democracy demonstrators are calling for a greater say in the 2017 polls to choose Hong Kong’s top leader.
