February 22 , 2017
Hong Kong's former leader Donald Tsang has been sentenced to 20 months in jail for misconduct in public office. He was found guilty in a case related to a luxury flat in mainland China.
Many of the senior ex-officials in Hong Kong defended Tsang's character by writing letters to the court.
After sentencing on Monday, Tsang complained of chest pain, because of which he was taken to the hospital from the court in handcuffs.
