'Hold North Korean leaders accountable for crime against humanity'
October 23 , 2014
Michael Kirby, the head of a UN panel inquiring into human rights in North Korea, has said that the country’s leaders including Kim Jong Un need to be held accountable for committing crimes against humanity.
Kirby also called upon the Security Council to take those responsible for the rights violations to the International Criminal Court.
He said the UN should not “back away” because of the steps North Korea has "belatedly" taken in recent weeks.
