Hijacked Malaysian Tanker Been Taken into Indonesian Waters

As per the reports of Malaysian authorities on Wednesday, a Malaysian tanker, MT Vier Harmoni has been hijacked and taken into the Indonesian waters. The tanker was carrying around 2, 400, 000 gallons of diesel which may cost around $400,000. According to the Director General of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), Ahmad Puzi Ab Kahar, the vessel along with the cargo are placed near Batam, the Indonesian island. He mentioned that they have contacted their Indonesian counterparts with the aim to launch a joint operation.
