Has the missing jet finally been found?
March 21 , 2014
It's been 13 days since Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 went missing. Authorities in Australia received two possible pieces of plane debris and have now sent four search planes in order to check it out.
Reports suggest that the debris was spotted about 1,500 miles from Perth in the Indian Ocean but the AP notes that the planes didn't have any luck today due to low visibility. They are now expected to continue the search tomorrow.
Australian Maritime Safety Authority's emergency response chief John Young mentioned that such images from the satellite "do not always turn out to be related to the search even if they look good, so we will hold our views on that until they are sighted close-up."
