Hamburg gets ready for G20 violence even as police tactics make situation tense
July 6 , 2017
Hamburg is bracing itself for an increased level of violence when the G20 summit gets underway over here on July 7 and 8. People in the second biggest German city have been complaining that police have adopted some harsh tactics that have only served to make the area tenser. On the evening of July 4 police used a fleet of hi-tech water cannons in order to disperse people who were partying close to the venue where the conference will be held.
