Gun battle in the Mexican city of Reynosa, over a gang leader's arrest, killed at least three people.
The city, which borders the US, has a history of drug mafia-related violence.
This round of fighting reportedly broke out after a leader of a key gang operating in the area was arrested. The “criminal group” attacked “federal forces” in retaliation, according to authorities.
Chaotic scenes prevailed in the city as roads were blocked with burning vehicles. Officials have urged residents to avoid using main roads.
