June 24 , 2017
Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have issued a 13-point ultimatum to Qatar, as a precondition for lifting economic and diplomatic sanctions the Saudi-led group issued on the latter two weeks back. The 13 point ultimatum includes demand for shutting down state funded broadcaster Al Jazeera, end contact with groups including Muslim Brotherhood, scale down cooperation with Iran drastically, remove Turkish troops from Qatar, adhere to monthly external compliance checks, and many more. The Saudi block has asked Qatar to comply with the ultimatum in 10 days time or face unspecified consequences.
