Gulf Crisis Deepens as Qatar Calls 13-Point Demands Unreasonable & Non-Actionable
June 25 , 2017
Gulf’s diplomatic crisis seems far from over as Qatar called the 13-point ultimatum by Saudi Arabia-led group unreasonable and non-actionable, contrary to what US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson asked for. Qatar government’s spokesperson Sheikh Saif Al Thani told media that the list of demands has nothing to do with combating terrorism. He accused the four-nation group of trying to limit sovereignty of Qatar and also rob the country of its independent foreign policy. Sheikh Saif Al Thani also said that the demands are also not “measured and realistic”, as asked by the British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson.
