Guatemala hit by another earthquake

  • A 6.1-magnitude earthquake has hit Guatemala just days after at least 52 people were killed in one of the biggest quakes to rock the country in decades.

    The earthquake hit at 4:15pm local time on Monday.

    The epicenter was recorded off Guatemala's Pacific coast. It was also felt in El Salvador and Mexico's southern Chiapas state.

    There were no immediate reports of deaths or major damage.

    President Otto Perez Molina was briefing journalists on the relief operation when the quake struck.
