Gordon Brown to lead 'no' campaign in final stages
September 9 , 2014
Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will lead the ‘no’ campaign in its final phase as polls predict that Scotland could go either way in the September 18 independence referendum, as per media reports.
The ‘no’ camp, which is getting increasingly nervous by the surge in ‘yes’ support, hopes that Brown will be able to convince undecided Scottish Labour voters to vote in favor of the union.
The former prime minister said Scottish voters’ demands for devolution of power needed to be urgently addressed by the establishment in London. He said the referendum was a “decision for the children of Scotland.”
