Germany seeks answers from US over spying
July 7 , 2014
Germany has sought an explanation from the US after a German national suspected of being a double agent for America was arrested, as per media reports.
According to reports, the 31-year-old German man admitted that he had passed documents to a US contact, including information linked to a parliamentary committee, which is looking into whistleblower Edward Snowden's allegations about US surveillance in Germany.
Germany’s foreign minister has urged the US to work towards the “quickest possible clarification of facts.”
