Germanwings Airbus A320 crashes in France

  • An Airbus A320 has crashed in southern France, media reports stated. The plane, which was operated by the Germanwings airline, crashed in the French Alps near Digne. It was traveling between Barcelona and Dusseldorf. Officials said 142 passengers and six crew members were on board the plane, which has a capacity of 174. The President of France, Francois Hollande, said no survivors are expected in the crash. Germanwings has issued a statement saying that the airline is still trying to confirm the incident.
