German Minister criticizes police handling of sex attacks on women in Cologne

Thomas de Maiziere, the Interior Minister of Germany, criticized the police handling of coordinated sexual attacks on women in Cologne on New Year Eve, media reports stated. As it emerged that the police had arrested only a handful of people, the minister said that they shouldn’t work like this. More than 100 victims complained that on New Year’s Eve they were attacked by a group of around 30 men outside Cologne station.
