Georgia Special Election: Jon Ossoff Fails to Snatch Republican Stronghold in Election

  • As per reports, Jon Ossoff failed to snatch a Republican stronghold in an election which was seen as a test of President Donald Trump's popularity.

Ossoff was short of the 50% he needed in a congressional vote in Georgia and reportedly there is going to be a run-off.

He ran in a ticket in a suburban Atlanta seat which has been Republican for more than 50 decades.

Reports further say that Ossoff will be facing Republican Karen Handel, a former Georgia secretary of state, on June 20 run-off for the seat in 6th Congressional District of Georgia.
