George Zimmerman Bail Set At $1 Million
July 6 , 2012
A Florida judge set the bail of George Zimmerman, the accused murdered of teenager Trayvon Martin, at $1 Million. Circuit Judge Kenneth R Lester Jr said that he believed Zimmerman may flee the country to avoid persecution. Though Zimmerman will most likely not be able to meet the entire bail amount, it is possible that bail bond agents step in to cover the collateral for a 10% fee. George Zimmerman awaits trial for second-degree murder for the murder that took place in Sanford, Florida in February. Zimmerman is likely to claim self-defense. With the case receiving widespread attention, Zimmerman’s attorneys have been successful in collection donations worth more than $210,000 through the Internet and other sources.
