Gas explosion at London hotel injures 14

  • A suspected gas blast in London’s Hyatt Regency hotel injured at least 14 people, according to media reports.

    The hotel was evacuated as dozens of firemen arrived at the scene.

    Five injured people were taken to hospital. Two of them suffered leg wounds, according to the London ambulance service. Nine others were treated at the site.

    Gas engineers and fire officials were ensuring the safety of the premises before letting guests go back in the hotel, media reports said.
