French Presidential Election Candidates Participate in a Televised Debate

  • As per reports, the French Presidential candidates clashed on stage in a televised debate on April 4. All the 11 presidential hopefuls were present in the debate which lasted for four hours.

    The far-left candidate, Jean-Luc Mélenchon with his combative and spontaneous style, outflanked his opponents.

    The left-wing radical Philippe Poutou experienced success after taking the fight to Marine Le Pen and Francois Fillon.

    Emmanuel Macron reportedly attacked on Marine Le Pen and accused her of trying to start an economic war with the country’s neighbor.

    Le Pen was seen clashing with other rivals and while opening the debate she mentioned that she thinks France’s civilization is at stake in this election.
