French President Vows to Fight Terrorism on Bastille Day

  • French President Emmanuel Macron, while speaking on the anniversary of the extremist attack in Nice’s Riviera city on July 14, 2016 (that killed 86 revelers) vowed to fight terrorism without mercy inside and outside France. While Paris sky lit up with fireworks to celebrate this year’s Bastille Day, firecrackers were banned in Nice. The commemoration in Nice took place after the grand Bastille Day celebration in the French Capital, where French President was joined by the US President Donald Trump. This year’s traditional military parade was joined by U.S. soldiers to mark centennial of US soldiers’ entry into World War I.
