French Politician Serge Dassault dies at 93

  • As per media reports, French politician and entrepreneur Serge Dassault died of a heart attack at the headquarters of the Dassault Aviation group on Monday. Mr. Dassault, who was amongst the richest men in France, led the Dassault group which has several firms in aeronautics and armaments. The group also owns the famous French newspaper named 'Le Figaro'. Serge Dassault was also active in politics and had served as a conservative senator and a mayor of Corbeil-Essonne, a southern suburb of Paris. Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy also paid tribute to Mr. Dassault.
