Freddie Gray case: Baltimore cops 'did nothing wrong', says their lawyer
May 2 , 2015
A lawyer for the six police officers from Baltimore, US, who have been charged in the Freddie Gray custodial death case, said that they did “nothing wrong.”
Michael Davey said that the police officers “acted reasonably and in accordance with their training.”
Earlier, Marilyn Mosby, the Baltimore state prosecutor, said that Gray’s arrest had been illegal and his death was a homicide.
Gray, a 25-year-old black man, died in police custody after suffering a severe spinal injury. Caesar Goodson, the driver of the van that transported Gray, faces the most serious charge of second-degree murder.
