François Hollande orders French PM to form new government
August 26 , 2014
In a high-stake political gamble François Hollande, France’s president, ordered Prime Minister Manuel Valls to form a new government, excluding Socialist dissidents, who are against the austerity polices of the administration, according to media reports.
Economy Minister Arnaud Montebourg in his farewell speech described the austerity measures in Europe and France as a “financial absurdity.”
Benoît Hamon, the education minister, and Aurélie Filippetti, the culture minister, will also not be a part of the new cabinet.
