Four US Blackwater guards jailed for killing Iraqi civilians

Nicholas Slatten, a former US Blackwater guard, has been sentenced to life imprisonment and three others have got 30-year terms for the 2007 killing of 14 civilians in Iraq. As per reports, Slatten and the others were convicted in 2014 for the killings in Nisoor Square in capital Baghdad.
Another 17 people were wounded after the private contractors fired on the crowd to make way for an American convoy. While Slatten faced a murder charge, Evan Liberty, Paul Slough and Dustin Heard faced multiple charges including manslaughter.
