Four die on Mount Everest
October 17 , 2013
An Adelaide man and three local Tibetan porters were killed in an avalanche on Mount Everest.
One of them was a 60-year old tourist from South Australia, identified as Dean Higgins and officials are helping his wife with consular assistance.
Higgin's wife was on the trek with him and remained buried in snow for almost six hours.
The group also included two other tourists, two cooks and a tour guide; local government came to their rescue after receiving a distress signal.
