Four bodies recovered from Indian navy submarine
August 17 , 2013
Four burned bodies have been recovered from the sunken Indian submarine in Mumbai. The navy submarine sank after an unexplained explosion on board and the Indian government said there wasn't any hope of finding survivors in the submarine.
There were 14 sailors on board at the time of the blast and navy divers have been searching for trapped survivors since the past two days. Poor visibility due to wreckage has made their task more difficult.
The four bodies that have been found are so severely burned that they are unidentifiable and have been sent for DNA identification. The divers are supposed to search every inch of the submarine in order to recover the bodies.
The families of the missing personnel have been updated and the names of the sailors have been published.
