Turkey has captured Rasmiya Awad, sister of former Islamic State group (IS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in northern Syria. The 65 year old Awad was detained in a raid on Monday. As per the Turkish officials, the arrest could accede to valuable information about the inner workings of IS. A New York Times report says Baghdadi had several sisters and brothers, however it is not clear if they are all still alive. Awad was found at an area of Aleppo province which is now under Turkey's control. Turkey officials confirmed that she was taken under custody on suspicion of her involvement with an extremist group.
