Former Afghan Refugee Arrested by Melbourne Police after 12 Pedestrians Injured in Car Accident

A 32-year-old former Afghan refugee Saeed Noori has been charged by Melbourne police of Australia with 18 counts of attempted murder after he drove his car into pedestrians in Melbourne’s Flinders Street. 12 people have been injured in the incident, out of which 9 are foreign nationals from China, Venezuela, India, Ireland, South Korea, and Italy. 3 people have been reported to be critically injured. On Saturday, Noori was produced before the magistrate and was ordered to be remanded in custody. Police have not found any link to Noori with any terrorist organization. A psychological report has been called for by the magistrate.
