    Around 400 people in Madaya, a besieged town in Syria, urgently need to be evacuated for medical treatment, UN humanitarian chief Stephen O'Brien said. As per media reports, Stephen O'Brien, after briefing the UN Security Council on the crisis in Madaya, said that these people could die. Earlier an aid convoy brought food for the 40,000 residents of the besieged town.

    Food supplies have been dispatched to the besieged town of Madaya in Syria. As per media reports, a convoy of UN and Red Cross vehicles has set off for the town and has enough supplies to feed 40,000 people for a month. Medicines and other non-food items will be delivered later this week.
